Supervision
BRG Homeschool Co-op is a parent-led, non-drop-off homeschool co-op. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety and behavior of their own children at all times during BRG classes, meetings, events, field trips, and other activities unless BRG has expressly communicated otherwise in writing for a specific event.
Participation in BRG does not create a childcare relationship between BRG volunteers, organizers, host facilities, or other participating families and my child(ren).
Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child(ren) respects and properly uses the facilities and property of Riverdale Church and any other venue hosting BRG activities.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in BRG activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated. These risks may include, but are not limited to, falls, injuries, illness, allergic reactions, interactions with other participants, playground equipment, outdoor activities, transportation to and from events, field trips, weather conditions, and other ordinary risks associated with family and educational activities.
I voluntarily assume all ordinary risks associated with participation by myself and my child(ren).
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Minnesota law, I release and hold harmless BRG Homeschool Co-op, its organizers, volunteers, instructors, members, and Riverdale Church, including their officers, employees, agents, and representatives, from claims, demands, damages, losses, or liability arising from participation in BRG activities, except to the extent caused by gross negligence, willful misconduct, or conduct that cannot legally be waived.
This release applies to all BRG sponsored meetings, classes, field trips, park days, social events, volunteer activities, and other BRG-sponsored programs or events.
Personal Responsibility
I understand that:
I am responsible for supervising my child(ren) throughout BRG activities.
I am responsible for my own actions and the actions of my child(ren).
I am responsible for providing any necessary medical information, medications, or accommodations.
I am financially responsible for any property damage caused by myself or my child(ren).
Parents and guardians are responsible for transporting themselves and their children to and from BRG activities unless transportation has been expressly arranged and communicated by BRG.
Medical Emergency
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize BRG volunteers to contact emergency medical services and obtain emergency assistance if I cannot be reached immediately.
I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
Acknowledgement
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Parent Agreement, Assumption of Risk, & Release of Liability, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to its terms. I understand that participation in BRG is voluntary and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
